A warm December with average precipitation
Apart from 8 hours of really cold temperatures overnight between the 19th and the 20th, the rest of the month was relatively warm. This put the overall temperature at 1.5 degrees above average. Interestingly, it seems that most of the recent Decembers have gone one way or the other, in the past 10 years we have had 6 above average, 3 below average, and only one average December.
There was pretty steady precipitation throughout the month and although the total of 57.0 mm was less than the average of 71.2 mm, it was still within the average range.
December only saw 19.0 cm of snow, about half the average of 37.2 cm for the month.
