Wow! I don't know if it has ever gone over 20 that fast before, it was only 11C out 2 hours before it went over 20C.
This year's winner is:

who correctly chose a time of 3:30 pm on April 10th as the first time the temperature at the UW weather station would go above 20C.

This strong temperature surge was from a sharp warm front that went through our area around 3 PM. It currently (late Sunday evening) is only about an hour's drive northeast of Waterloo, and in places such as Barrie, temperatures struggled to reach 10 C today. Congratulations Janie Simpson!
