There were the usual temperature swings during this season that borders winter and summer, but it was never really hot or cold for a very long time. Overall it was just 0.2 degrees colder than average which puts it solidly in the average range.
After a slow start to the spring precipitation (it was dry until the first week of April), the rest of the season was wetter with the total coming in on the high end of the average
range.
Summary for Spring 2013:
Maximum Temperature 28.6 °C
Minimum Temperature -9.2 °C
Average Daily High Temperature 15.1 °C (Long term average 15.6 °C)
Average Daily Low Temperature 4.8 °C (Long term average 4.2 °C)
Total Precipitation 256.4 mm (Long term average 219.5 mm)
(Long term averages based on 1971-2000 data for the Waterloo Wellington Airport)

This was a great spring. I just wish it hadn't warmed up in early May so quickly. We seemed to skip right over the lovely 12-18C days and head straight for high 20s! I also would've preferred more precip, but being in the high end of average was okay, too. Hope the precip. continues through summer, and the heat abates to the more pleasant low 20s!
I ditto the exact opposite of everything Kellie S stated. This Spring was terrible and had to wear extra clothing and turn the heat on in early June. More precip preferred? It was a sogfest and will create high humidity this summer which I like. Wouldn't surprise me to see the big heatwaves in late July and August this time.
Horrible spring. We had bouts of snow very, very late. Lots of precip and very cool.
The precip was highly variable around the region. If you were under one of the cells or trailing fingers to a front like I was you would have thought the UW station's guage was broken. We had several 2-inch weekends, lots of flooded fields and a few basements too. At least my lawn has recovered somewhat after being devastated by last summer.
