Although we don't like to talk about "daily record temperatures" at the UW weather station (see here for an explanation why), this is a noteworthy spell of high temperatures.
Seeing a temperature over 20°C in November isn't that unusual, on average it happens about once every 5 years.
However, getting two days in a row in November above 19°C hasn't happened since 1990 and it is only the third time since 1970.
By the way, the highest all-time November temperature I was able to find was back on November 1st, 1950 when it was 25.0°C (followed by a 20 cm snowfall 3 days later).

Frank - I have also checked back in the records, and if we made 20 C today at the Waterloo International Airport, it will be the first time since records began locally that we have 2 days in a row in November with a maximum of 20 C or above. Stay tuned.
We didn't quite get to 20 C on the 4th at the UW weather station.
That's why I had to say over 19 C in my posting.
We did make 20.1 C at the airport Wednesday the 5th but only 19.1 C (also a new record high) Thursday the 6th. So we did register for the first time on record 2 days in a row of 20 C or more for Kitchener-Waterloo. We will return to reality this weekend!
Off topic: it would be interesting to see how much the Environment Canada readings at Waterloo-Wellington airport differ from those of the UW weather station.
For example, right now (2:20pm on 08-Nov-2008) EC says that the current temperature is 16, whilst UW says that it's merely 6. I wonder how far apart these readings have been in the past...
According to the Environment Canada website the temperature at 2 pm on November 8th was 5 C.
The temperature was nowhere near 16C that day?
I can't remember a time when we have been more than 2 degrees different than the Waterloo Wellington airport station.
