Snowfall summary - February 14, 2009

Haven't done this for a while, but here is the current snowfall summary for the season.

We are at 211 cm since the fall, this still puts us ahead of last year at this time (about 180 cm) but the gap is closing.

We will see in the next few weeks if we can set a new record.

There must be alot more snow falling up at the station than there is down at Highland & Westmount in Kitchener.

Last year there was no place to put the snow anymore and I vowed to buy a snow blower for the next winter. So far, this winter I used it twice and the rest has been dealt with a shovel.

This winter doesn't seem as bad as last.

Just wondering, were you on vacation during November and December when we had the third snowiest fall we have ever had in the area?

I see 6 days so far this season that have had over 10 cm of snow so it seems that there were lots of opportunities to use that new snow blower.

Or maybe there is a local anomaly around Highland and Westmount.

If there was a local anomaly, it didn't extend much past Anonymous' house... The only difference I see this year is that there have been a few big melts this year that made the piles of snow much smaller than I remember from last year.
