Crazy April turnaround
Just as we are enjoying a sunny day of 10 degrees, Environment Canada puts out a snowfall warning for 15 to 25 cm of the white stuff.
Thanks to UW, I will forever call that storm in early April in my mind as a "Fassnacht" (German: "keg night"?) It is still hard to explain to people from where this name originated!
I was thinking the same thing about the Fassnacht storm. It seems like labeling a Fassnacht storm before June is just tempting Mother Nature to throw us another storm:)
You can blame me for putting out the snowfall warning Sunday for Monday. Perhaps I should consider adding a "Fassnacht Sturm" watch to our bulletin types?

Fassnacht strikes again? Haha. I just started reading these blogs 2 weeks ago. I remember reading that post just under a week ago.

It is always hard to say that something is the "last" when it comes to the weather.
But yes I definitely jumped the gun last week in calling the little bit of snow on the 30th the "Fassnacht" storm, we are definitely living it now.
